Why the PlayStation Vita Needs—But Won’t Get—a Price Cut

Published: January 01, 0001 Reading Time: Approx. 8 mins
Even when you’re at a a fan convention packed with wall-to-wall gamers, it can be hard to find people playing Sony’s newest handheld. The fact that the Vita is so difficult to spot is just one bit of anecdotal evidence that the gaming portable is having a rough time. But does this mean it’s time for the price of the Vita to get slashed? Not necessarily.(new Image()).src = 'https://capi.connatix.com/tr/si?token=995c4c7d-194f-4077-b0a0-7ad466eb737c&cid=872d12ce-453b-4870-845f-955919887e1b'; cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "995c4c7d-194f-4077-b0a0-7ad466eb737c" }).render("79703296e5134c75a2db6e1b64762017"); }); https://kotaku.com/we-searched-for-a-single-playstation-vita-in-a-room-ful-5901707 Over at Gamasutra, writer Chris Morris weighs the pros and cons of a price cut, saying that it would reflect poorly on newly appointed Sony CEO Kaz Hirai: While a price cut seems logical to consumers at this point, it’s a little more complicated for Sony. Kaz Hirai is still largely known as a PlayStation guy – and a price cut just two months after the system’s U.S. launch would be viewed riches888pg as a failure of that division. (Just look at the heat Nintendo president Satoru Iwata took when Nintendo jinda44 slashed the 3DS’s price.) Having that public stumble less than a month into the job wouldn’t help Hirai — and it wouldn’t help Sony. That makes it a little less likely that we’ll see an immediate official price cut for the Vita. Add in Sony’s long riches888pg history of putting off price cuts, even when sales are sub-optimal, and it’s an even bigger longshot. The article also speculates on when a lower price point may happen. Are you waiting jinda44 for a cheaper cost to pick up a Vita? (You can check out Amazon right now.) Or is there a particular game e19 that will make you take e19 the plunge? https://kotaku.com/if-you-dont-mind-used-the-ps-vita-is-super-cheap-at-am-5904364 Opinion: It’s time for Sony to consider a Vita price cut [Gamasutra]

The progressive jackpots are thrilling, and it's exciting to watch the jackpot amounts grow as more players spin the reels. I hope they add even more jackpot slots because it adds a lot of excitement to the gameplay. I appreciate the themed slot games, especially those based on movies and TV shows. They make the gaming experience more engaging and immersive. The combination of storyline, visuals, and bonus features makes each game feel unique.
